Paul's video is bang up to date with a pair of Black5's on the Heart of Wales line on the 24th April with the Liverpool-Swansea leg of the Great British XVI Tour seen at Llanwrda and Ffairfach

Video is from a 'Plandampf' in 1998 where steam is/was rostered on normal trains in Germany.  Three locos on an empty potash train at Oberrohn near Bad Salzungen.

This is a Somerset  and Dorset recreation on West Somerset line in March 1996 with ex-LMS 4F on a short mixed train

A Deltic on the Great Western Main Line.

They have visited very occasionally but the  Aug 2011 runs with 55022 Royal Scots Grey were particularly spirited with shots at West Ealing and Langley.

Cumbres and Toltec Scenic RR  September 2000

The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, often abbreviated as the C&TSRR, is a 3 ft narrow-gauge heritage railroad that operates on 64 miles of track between Antonito, Colorado, and Chama, New Mexico, in the United States

Turn up the sound

This month's video is an industrial steam recreation at Workington steel works, March 2001.

Filmed in the Tehachapi Mountains in 2003. These are a mountain range in the Transverse Ranges system of California and extends for approximately 40 miles in

southern Kern County and northwestern Los Angeles County. A reminder of the reality of US railways.

Many preserved lines are now running winter lights trains which double up as Halloween trains and Santa workings in daylight bringing much needed revenue. The Gwili Railway is no exception and this year ran trains between Xmas and New Year for the first time ever.

Decembers video is an atmospheric reminder of the yesterdays of steam from the Harz Mountain Railway, showing one of the 1meter gauge locomotives in action in February 2015

 

November's video is some Irish steam from 1995 at Limerick Junction. GN(I) No85 Merlin departs for Cork whilst ex Dublin and South Eastern Railway No.461 is serviced.

Steam in Poland 1997

October's video is from Poland in May97. A PKP 2-6-2 OL49-81 departs Włoszakowice (pronounced vollskaveetza) with a train from Wolsztyn to Leszno. Paul said "Little did I know that in 18 months time this would be the first steam loco I'd drive, and on this very route."

Have you ever seen a prison train?

One runs every day M-F between Zurich and Bern operated by Securitas on behalf of Swiss authorities. Seen here at Olten in 2011 the train still runs, but with a loco in place of the class 540 motor coach which has been retired.

Not on Every Sunday

On a couple of Sundays Jan 2013 they operated steam on London Underground in the heart of the city, not just the outer reaches of the network. Met Mo.1 did the honours supported by Sarah Siddons. Shots at Barbican and Notting Hill Gate.
